A few weeks after unveiling the official music video for the song “Kisses in a fire” still available on YouTube, French desert-rock/stoner power trio Acid Western put the digital reissue of its ‘Rampage EP’ for Free (or Pay What You Want) Download on Bandcamp.
.
Acid Western describes itself like the furious sons of the desert-rock, spreading a dusty but sexy sound with a drop of mezcal for a saloon dance breaking the rules between stoner-rock and grunge music. Influences by the QOTSA’s “Desert sessions” or the French/US outfit Loading Data, the band imagines its music like a cinematic, fuzzy and initiatic journey among into the American desert.
.
.
After a debut EP four years ago (“Of flesh and bones”, 2011), Acid Western released “Rampage” a first time in 2014 and then a second one six months later with a brand new artwork.

Colossus Fall stream new full-length album ‘Hidden into details’

11/26/2015 at 2:22 am (Uncategorized)

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

A few days after the physical and digital release of its debut album, Swiss stoner/sludgecore/metal outfit Colosuss Fall just launched a full stream of ‘Hidden into details’, available right now on Bandcamp, but also for CD on the band’s webstore and through Altsphere distribution.
 .
Stream the whole album on Bandcamp | Get your physical copy of ‘Hidden into details’
 .
For the records : the band as it exists today was formed in July 2011 in Geneva by members having previously taken part in various bands of the local metal scene. The project is part of the meeting of David Moro (guitars – formerly of Forge) and Philippe Suarez (guitars- former member of Amok) in 2009. A number of musicians have contributed to the karma of the band. The actual line up is completed by Albert Serrano (bass), Christophe Laureau at the drums (after the departure of Bastien C. Anthony) and Mateo at vocals.
.
It is not easy to apply COLOSSUS FALL’s rich and expanded sound to any existing style, being both brutal and sophisticated at the same time, but rather it is clearly an influence of a number of quite different genres.
 .
However, COLOSSUS FALL might be listened a kind of mix between Keelhaul, Coalesce, Converge, Isis and Mastodon

The guys have been together since early 2005 and their sound is a mix of Southern rock, post-hardcore, and metal – think about blending acts like Converge, Pantera, Rage Against The Machine, Refused, SNOT, Neurosis, Every Time I Die, and maybe the Beastie Boys and that’s what Fishing With Guns sounds like.

Fishing With Guns released their self-produced, debut full-length, ‘The Night Fell’, on September 29, 2010 which quickly garnered them a lot of local attention. The release was produced by Guillaume Mauduit (Seed From The Geisha) and would afford them many gigs local gigs with acts like Loudblast, La Dispute, The Prestige, Impure Wilhelmina, and Weedeater. Now, 5 years since that release, Fishing With Guns will release its second full-length album, ‘…But The Dawn Will Come’.

Rise unveiled new official music video for “About war”

11/07/2015 at 8:30 am (Uncategorized)

.
This is about Rise… This is about musical hybridation. This is about a French entity mixing in the same original and “romantic” way : post-metal, indie-pop & alternative black-metal. A musical project including a real visual ambition with graphic design, art-works and music videos in order to share a personal vision of romantism.
 .
A few weeks after unveiling an animated music video for the song “About duality” and then an audio single with “About ‘friends'”Rise just unveiled a new music video for a brand new song called “About war” as a last excerpt of its long-awaited upcoming debut full-length album. These three tracks will feature on ‘Resilience’, produced by Jochem Jacobs (ex-Textures) and to be released digitally on December 8th through the main legal platforms. A physical release will follow in 2016.

Natural evolution of the Andick solo project in 2009, RISE took its firststep during the spring of 2010. Affected by the artistic approach of Aymeric Goutal, it was in a spontaneous way that bassist Julien Bouladoux (also involved with alternative/hardcore/punk band The Prestige), then drummer Tadzio Gottberg decided to ally to his cause. In october 2015, Rise became a four-piece band with the arrival of Kory as fourth official member.
 .
Borrowing its influences from the broadest musical horizon possible, RISE seeks above all to convey emotions. The power of Rock, the heaviness of Metal and the Classical drama are combined,  thus giving birth to a rich and astonishing mixture. The topics approached, halfway between hope and melancholy, are primarily based on the concept of Resilience, dear to the project’s originator. Experiments share, transmission of emotions and vibrations in unison constitute a faithful triptych to RISE.
