A few weeks after unveilling a first live excerpt with the song “The Party Is Ending”, Swiss hip-hop/rock power-trioFensta just debuted on YouTube its first official music video illustrating the single “School Dropout”, extracted from its upcoming full-length effort ‘APOCALIPSTICK’ coming out early 2017 through Cold Smoke Records (Das Röckt, Hey Satan!, Hubris., Lilium Sova, Ogmasun…).

Formed in 2015 by the singer Julien Vonlanthen, recognized DJ artist (Zeela), music producer and drummer, Fensta is a rap-rock power trio from the area of Fribourg, Switzerland, equally inspired by alternative music and pop music.

Though the formation is recent, the members come from various respected scenes. Featuring Fred Vonlanthen (guitarist for Alain Morisod, involved in more than 2’000 shows during the last 20 years) on the bass and Nathan Gros (No Way To Escape, Hubris…) on the drums, the group’s origin stemmed from a mutual will of getting out ofthe musicians’ habits.

Influenced by bands such as RATM, Royal Blood and AC/DC, Fensta stands out by mixing powerful hip-hop drum rhythms, loud bass-guitar riffs and rap lines. Not only motivated by sharing the happiness of their music, the band approaches delicate topics with their strong lyrics and tries to promote a different way of thinking to its audience.

Hubris. is a Swiss post-rock band originating in Fribourg. Formed in 2014, the instrumental quartet is characterised by their original style which blends an experimental touch of post-rock, electronica atmosphere and some elements of the metal scene.

They draw their inspiration from bands like Jakob, This Will Destroy You, Tides of Man or Jon Hopkins amongst others. With their introspection-evoking style, hubris. reveal themselves with the length of their compositions, permitting an evolution encompassing softness as well as intensity. Sometimes compared with other artists like Sigur Rós or Long Distance Calling (Daily-Rock), the band calls forth emotions of its audience due to a heterogeneous musical landscape mixing poetic ambiance and raw energy. The band is comprised of a guitar and synthesisers (Jonathan Hohl and Martin Volanthen), a bass-guitar (Julien Vonlanthen) and the drums (Nathan Gros).

On the 2nd of May 2015, hubris. released their first opus “Emersion” along-side Jakob (New Zealand). The album was well-received by various medias outlets, obtaining several reviews from webzines and newspaper (La Liberté, La Gruyère) as well as being aired on two radio stations (Radio Fribourg and FarPastPost radio). Furthermore, the album was chosen as the soundtrack of the international museum exposition of Bucarest “Insight”.

In 2016, hubris. entered the walls of the studio “La Fonderie” (Fribourg) in order to compose their second album. Their musical approach took a new turn with the arrival of member Martin Vonlanthen (synthesisers). By drastically changing their method of composing, the band embodies a musical style rarely explored to this day, breaching pre-established post-rock conventions by incorporating electronica influences.

Influenced by 70’s to 90’s rock legends and progressive music ways, French deep-rock trio Syd Kult announced a few days ago the release of its debut and self-produced full-length album planned for CD and digital formats on January 27th with the courtesy of La Grosse Radio as official media partner.
In addition to the official announcement, the band also unveiled below the artwork of this upcoming album and then a first audio excerpt with the song “Heroes End”. Pre-order for both physical and digital editions will be opened around of december 15th.

Formed in 2014 in the East of France, Yurodivy quickly played its first gigs before to record a debut EP called ‘The Valley Of Elah’ released a few months only after its official birth. Then the band created its own imprint (Itawak) based in Kawati Studios in Strasbourg city and begin the work on a new EP + first full-length album.

In June 2015, Yurodivy released a second EP called ‘When Deep Waters…’ (through Itawak) and about one year and a half after, its long-play sequel : ‘APHOS’.
