Fab (Guitar, Vox), Max (Drums) and Sam (Guitar) met and decided to create Khynn in 2004. Soon after they were joined by Nel (Synths) and Joker (Bass). In 2007 they released their 1st opus Breakin’ the Fury, an ambitious 7 tracks demo. With influences from Metallica to Children of Bodom, Khynn delivers a heavy trash melodic album, allying power and emotion. A blast of energy serving a limitless spirit.
The band from Besançon came by force as a new entity that has to be taken into account in the French metal scene.
During the preparation of their new album, some changes were made to the original line-up. Sam replaced Fab as a singer, and Joker was replaced by Guillaume and then by Rémi who is the current bass player. Nel too leaved the band but was not replaced. Now Khynn uses samples instead of synth, further broadening its musical universe.
Now they return harder but also more mature with their second album Any Fear Calms Down recorded by Brett CALDAS-LIMA (Tower Studio, Montpellier).
With a rich and varied scope of influences going from Scandinavian to American metal, Khynn proposes an epic but effective music.
Tracks are various and even propose some progressive rock parts. This album is an invitation to introspection.
Now it’s sure: when you speak about French Metal, Khynn is a force to take into account !!
