Five years and a half after the successfull release of its debut full-length effort called ‘Some Strange Heavy Sound’ (2011, Brennus Music), French heavy/metal/progressive/rock quintet Superscream released a few weeks ago its brand new album called ‘The Engine Cries’, available right now for CD and Digital on the main legal platforms (iTunes, Deezer, Amazon…) through Send The Wood Music/Season Of Mist and The Orchard.
.
In addition to the official release-news, the band just unleashed an official music video for the song “The Engine Cries (Superscreamrise)” available right now on YouTube.
.
By the way : The Screamers are also preparing an upcoming live DVD. The show presented by the group brings a new dimension to their music, thanks to a new concept realized through a meaningful stage production (lights, accessories, costumes)…

… For the record…
.
Superscream was in incubation since 2007, following the meeting of Phil Vermont and Eric Pariche, both musicians into rock, jazz or hard-rock and progressive metal bands (La Familia, Compagnie Trabucco, Darjeeling…) – but officially created in 2010.
.
So, from the beginning in the area of Rouen (in France), Superscream has affirmed itself as a synthesis of its legendary inspirations (Dream Theater, Guns N’ Roses, Megadeth, Led Zeppelin, Pain Of Salvation, Rammstein, Faith No More, Rage Against The Machine among others) and the constant aim to explore the infinite diversity that music offers us. It is in this way the need for ethnic elements emerged; Jazz, percussion of all kinds…
.
Released in 2011 through Brennus Music, the first album of the band was well received and Superscream brought it to the stage of a national scale, playing festivals, showcases (next to bands such as Napalm Death, Zuul Fx or Atlantis Chronicles).
.

Superscream recorded their second album « The Engine Cries » in 2015 after some line-up changings and spurred by the success of their first album, the progressive French Metal quintet returns with a concept even more straightforward… introducing their new, hot off the press creation : ‘The Engine Cries’.
